balemtimes day

The kids have had lots of fun this Valentine's Day.  Emma Taylor and Sarah had their parties on Friday and Harrison had his today so the fun and sugar high have been going on for days!  Anna Grace told the girls they better enjoy it this year because they won't have parties next year when they're at Saltillo Elementary. :(  They definitely made the most of it!
They came home with bags of cards and treats and told me about all the yummy sweets they enjoyed during the party.  We sent some cookie pops again this year, but tried the white chocolate instead.  Yummy!
Here's Harrison on the way to school this morning.  He's ready to party!
He's taking cookie pops for his friends, too.  This is the first year he's really understood "Balemtime's" Day.  He loved every minute of it.  Including the chocolate....seems there's some left on his mouth!
The kids have also enjoyed getting new clothes, money and gift cards from Memaw, Granna, Papa D and us.

I hope everyone enjoyed a sweet Valentine's Day!

something sweet

Emma Taylor's sweet friend Garrett moved to Olive Branch just after Christmas last year.  They've known each other since they were 2 1/2 years old, so she's definitely missed him.  She was so excited to find asurprise from Garrett in the mailbox yesterday.  He sent her a box of candy and a sweet card for Valentine's Day!

His mom, my friend Renea, said he picked it out himself and even spent some of his report card money on the treat for Emma Taylor.  His kindness sure made her Valentine's Day sweet!  Thanks, Garrett!

clay canvas

We took the kids to The Clay Canvas, in Oxford, today for some fun family time.  The kids LOVED painting their own pottery and definitely created some masterpieces!

We had so much fun this afternoon and created some pretty artwork.  I can't wait to pick up the masterpieces next week!  I'll post pictures of their projects when we get them.  :)

p is for pink pig

Harrison's class was working on the letter P this week, so they painted a pink piggy!
He was wearing his hot dog shirt today and said,
"Mommy, why did you buy me a food shirt?  So everybody would know I'm not hungry?"  That boy makes me laugh!

snow day

The kids were out of school AGAIN today due to snow.  The kids are just as tired of the snow as the adults are - none of them even asked to go out and play in it!  We're all so ready for spring and we're all just a little stir crazy over here.

By lunchtime the roads were pretty clear, so we decided to take a trip to Build-a-Bear to spend the gift cards the kids got for Christmas.  They thought it was a great way to spend their snow day!

The whole gang.  I love to see what they pick...each choosing something different!
Harrison with his bear, Camo.  He's all dressed up and ready for some football.  He has a cute helmet upstairs, too.
Sarah with her new bunny, Lucy.  She's all dressed up for Valentine's Day.  Love the heart headband!
Emma Taylor with her kitty, Lulu.  She's dressed for Valentine's Day too.  She's wearing a skirt and a sparkly shirt, so she must have some fancy plans!
Anna Grace with her new bear, Lilly.  Looks like she's ready for a formal event, shiny shoes and all!
Build-a-Bear was fun, but we're headed back to the real world of school and work tomorrow.  I'm glad!
