I haven't blogged lately, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy having fun! I just haven't taken many pictures and haven't taken the time to upload the pictures that I have taken to the blog. I have good intentions, but... :)
Since the last post the kids have been busy enjoying this pretty weather. Spring came early this year and it already feels like summer, which I LOVE! It's been great to be able to spend time outside, riding bikes, playing basketball and playing with Knox!
Speaking of Knox, he's getting really big...and into EVERYTHING. He's B.A.D. bad! :) Lucky for him, he's cute! If not, the chewing up everything in sight and using the potty inside could land him in real trouble!
Knox may be wild, but the kids are still behaving and up to more fun things this spring. Anna Grace is still enjoying playing the flute in the 6th grade band. She has improved drastically since she began playing her instrument at the beginning of the year - she really sounds great! It's amazing how much she's learned in such a short time. She's the first chair flute player in the 6th grade band. She may have found her "thing!"
Sarah's been busy these days with cheer practice and competitions and is loving every minute of it! Her squad competed in Tupelo last weekend and earned 2nd place - the best for their squad this year! She was so pumped! I love watching her perform. She's so spunky and animated! We're headed to Batesville, MS this weekend to watch her again. Fun!
Emma Taylor's spent quite a bit of time practicing for her first Pied Piper Playhouse production over the past two months. She has a couple of parts in The Little Mermaid and is loving it! She started as a Minstrel, a sort of entertainer in between scenes, and also picked up the part of a Henchfish. It's a musical so she's singing and dancing the whole time, which is right up her alley! Her performances begin the weekend of April 13th.
Harrison finished up with basketball last month and started practicing for baseball last week. So far he's enjoying coach pitch. I can't wait to see the first game on April 21st. He also lost his 4th tooth this morning, so he's really toothless now. Crazy how fast he's growing up!
So that's what the kids have been up to these past few weeks. I'll try to get some pictures posted soon so you can see their faces again! :) Happy Weekend to everyone!

{ puppy love }
All the kids like Knox, but Emma Taylor is especially smitten with him.
When I have get get onto him about pottying in the house she gets so angry! One afternoon she was doing homework in the kitchen and when I swatted him she packed up her books and headed into the dining room declaring that she was "On Team Knox!" Ha!
She carries him around like a baby and lets him "kiss" her on the lips (Those of you who know me well realize that this is very hard for me to watch!). Funny girl!

{ weekend fun }
Last weekend we had spend the night company and everyone was excited. Kailey came to stay with us while Jennifer and Kevin went to NOLA so Jennifer could run the New Orleans Marathon. My friend, Jennifer, is super impressive and finished her first Marathon in 4 hours and 28 minutes. Makes me tired just thinking about it! :)
Kailey is in kindergarten, but loves hanging out with the big girls. When they found out she was coming for the night they started making big plans for all the fun things they would do.
They played with their babies, rode bikes and had a fun slumber party! Kailey is an only child, so sometimes I think all the wildness at our house is a little crazy for her. She just rolls with it though and keeps a smile on her little face!

Harrison finally had enough of the girls...
and played some video games. He loves Little Big Planet and is really good at it...seriously good for a 6 year old!
He likes to sneak off for a bath in the big tub too!
Harrison lost one of his top teeth during the weekend too. His other front, top tooth was pulled when he was just little, so he's had the fake one in for years. He'll have it taken out on Wednesday, so he'll be our little Toothless Wonder!
It was a wild and fun weekend for sure!

{ sweet letter }
Harrison's class is learning to write friendly letters. They practiced writing letters to their parents and stuffed them in envelopes to be delivered. Here's what he wrote to me.
Here's the translation...
Dear Mom,
You are sweet. I love you to pieces. Please take me to the beach. I like when you brush my hair. I like when you hug me. I like when you tuck me in bed. I love you.
Love, Harrison
Sweet boy!
