Harrison found a tiny turtle while he was in McComb this weekend and begged to bring it home!
He got a frog habitat for his birthday, so I said he could keep his turtle in there for a little while. We don't know much about keeping a turtle as a pet, but we knew they needed to eat something. Harrison said turtles eat worms, so he and Emma Taylor dug some up at Granna and Papa D's house yesterday. Yuck!
Since I didn't want to get involved in the business of digging up worms I bought him some reptile food. Smells delicious, let me tell ya!
I know he won't get to live with us long, but the kids will enjoy him for awhile then we'll take him down to the lake and set him free.

{ Happy Heart Day! }
The kids were all hopped up on cupcakes and candy, but they all had a fun day! Here are some pictures to prove it!
Sarah was at cheer while picture taking was going on. Like the rest of us, she was partied out!
Granna and I were able to stop by Harrison's school for his Valentine Party, so I included a few pictures from the party too. He's the only one who has parties that the parents can crash!
Of course he chose football valentines to give to his friends!
Sillyness!
Lexie and Emma Taylor at play practice.
Cute Valentine from Harrison's friend Margaret Ann!
Headed to school for Valentine parties!
Treats
More treats!
Lee and Knox sharing some love.

{ the finished products }
I got a call from Wet Paint today, so I went and picked up the masterpieces that were painted at Harrison's party. All the kids painted such cute things, so I can't wait to deliver them all!
Here's the party plate that was painted for the birthday boy! His friends all painted their names on the back.
Here's what our crew painted. I love them all!
Anna Grace's adorable ice cream bowl!
The little girls chose these tiny teacups for their next tea party!
And finally, here's Harrison's dragon.
Pretty impressive, right?! :) Happy Weekend, everyone!

{ Valentine Baking with Granna }
Granna did some baking with the kids at Christmas, but they ran out of steam before we could make Spritz cookies. They all love to use the cookie gun, so we decided to do some more baking for Valentine's Day and we made the Spritz cookies first!
Cameron and Anna Grace sifting.
Sarah stirring.
Emma Taylor loves pressing out the cookies!
This is the only part Harrison was interested in. He was ticked that Cameron wanted to bake and wouldn't play outside with him. :)
Boys taking turns.
Sister is serious!
Five decorating cuties!
Ready for the oven.
You can never have too many sprinkles, right?
Now for our favorite holiday pretzel treats!
Anna Grace and Sarah were the only ones still interested at this point. They are excellent pretzel treat makers! Anna Grace arranged the pretzels while Sarah unwrapped the Hugs.
In addition to the regular Hugs, Granna bought the raspberry and white chocolate flavored Hugs since they were red and white. They made the cutest treats for Valentine's Day and they tasted SUPER! If you're making these treats for Valentine's Day, you should definitely try this version!
Aren't they cute!?
Granna and the kids made all of this stuff on Sunday and it was gone by Tuesday. I could eat the whole pan of pretzel treats myself. Yum!

{ Wet Paint Party }
Harrison had been dying for February 2nd to arrive...the day of his 7th birthday party!
Harrison is all about football these days, so he wanted a football themed party and obviously wore his favorite jersey (I told you he loved that thing!).
Here he is, hard at work, with dragon he painted.
He had a wonderful group of friends come to his party. They had a great time creating their pottery masterpieces! The boys painted things like dragons, football helmets, and vehicles while the girls painted pretty flower banks, hippos with polished toenails and sprinkled ice cream bowls!
We finished painting and had pizza. football cupcakes and ice-cream!
Finally we made it to Harrison's favorite part...the presents! He got some fun things from his sweet friends!
Harrison loved celebrating his 7th birthday Wet Paint style! A big thanks to all of his friends and family for making his day super special!

The artwork the kids painted won't be ready for about a week, so we sent the kids home with a small treat to let them know they'd get their real party favor soon!
