{ More on the Race...}

We had a beautiful, HOT day for Race for the Cure.  We sold tons of hamburger and hotdog plates, plenty of candy and nachos along with all the race entrance fees, so I'm sure GMS raised lots of money for Breast Cancer research.  :)

Here are my girls in the hall before all the festivities got started.

The girls had a ball.  Sarah finished the 1.5 Mile run and Emma Taylor came in second in the Pink Out Contest.  They loved the day!

Pinkest of the Pink

 Bull riding!

The girls said the mechanical bull wasn't as easy as it looked.  It sure was fun to try though.  They thoroughly enjoyed their first Race for the Cure at GMS!

{ Race for the Cure }

The girls had Race for the Cure at the middle school today.  They had a "pink out" and participated in the race to raise money for Breast Cancer research.  They loved being decked out in pink today!

Lots of pink....even tattoos and face paint.  I'm heading out to work at the concession stand and join the fun for a wonderful cause.

Happy Friday, everyone!

{ Homecoming Week Recap }

The girls had some fun dress up days lined up for Homecoming Week.  Here are some pics for ya!  I don't have pics of everybody on every day, but here's what I have.

Patriotic Day
Anna Grace on Tourist Day.
She thought the shirt Lee got in Jamaica was terrible and couldn't wait to wear it.

Camo Day

 Disney Character Day....this is Lilo from Lilo and Stitch.
 Sarah is Marie from the Aristocats.

 Holiday Day...this little firecracker chose Independence Day.

Character Day.  AG is John Bender from The Breakfast Club.
Her friend, Peyton, is cracking me up as Brian!

Tie Dye Day with her BFF Lilli

 Fave Team Day for my Bulldogs and Rebels!
The Tuesday after Columbus Day they had school Spirit day at the middle school since that was the day of their actual homecoming game.  Emma Taylor was all decked out in orange and blue!
They love dressing up as much as I did...a loooong time ago!

{ Old Baker Farms Pumpkin Patch }

Mom and I took the kids to Birmingham on Saturday to meet Amy and her kids for a trip to the pumpkin patch.  My friend, Holly, suggested Old Baker Farms, in Harpersville, and I'm so glad she did.  It was wonderful!

The kids had a ball with the corn maze, jumping in freshly picked cotton and riding horses!

 They fed the animals and picked cotton too.
 The kids loved the cool hand washing station.
 I think picking cotton was one of their favorite parts.
 Big ole basket of cotton!
 Next we headed down to climb on the hay bales.

They even liked riding the kiddie train.

The last activity was a hay ride out to the actual pumpkin patch.  Everyone picked out pumpkins and then the farm volunteers transported them to the exit gate and put them in our car when we left.  Such great service.  It's never fun lugging pumpkins all the way to the car!

 Before we headed out for dinner we stopped to take some family pictures.

In addition to all the fun at the pumpkin patch, we had a HUGE day in Mississippi football.  State beat Texas A&M and Ole Miss beat Alabama!  After those big wins, both our teams shared the #3 ranking in the poll this week.  It's such a fun time to be Bulldogs and Rebels! :)

{ Red Carpet Dance }

The girls had a semi-formal dance at school tonight and were pretty excited about it!  They loved being all fancy.  Anna Grace curled their hair and I just love how it looks.  Such a sweet big sister!

 Fancy feet

There they go!
This is the best picture we could get since it would be totally
embarrassing for us to get out and snap pics.  Ha!
They looked precious and had lots of fun dancing with their friends on the red carpet!
