{ Red Ribbon Week }

The elementary school celebrated Red Ribbon Week to remind the kids to say no to drugs.  They had theme days to make it more fun.

Here's Monday, which was school spirit day.

Tuesday was Camo Day, so Harrison just wore a regular outfit which included camo shorts.
We are so creative! :)

 Wednesday was Tacky Day and he would have nothing to do with it.  Ha!
Thursday was Throwback Thursday, so he was a hippie.  Such a cute hippie!

Finally, Friday was "What you want to be when you grow up Day,
so he chose a football player, again!  Tom Brady this year.
What a fun week and such a great reminder to the kids to stay away from drugs!

{ Chili Cook }

Emma Taylor wanted to make dinner all by herself tonight, so she did.  Chili was on the menu!

Those cans are tough to open!

I should have taken a picture of the chili when it was finished, but we were in a hurry to eat it!  :)  Emma Taylor said, "don't tell Lee I made it until he says if he likes it or not."  Ha!  He did.  YUM!

{ Pumpkins }

The kids really don't seem to enjoy carving pumpkins anymore.  They prefer painting pumpkins so much more and that's soooo much easier, so that's what we do.  Actually that's what the girls prefer to do.  Harrison didn't want to slow down from playing to paint with us and Lee was watching a football game, so he passed on our project too!  I asked Harrison if he wanted to paint his pumpkin today too and got a big "NO."  I guess it's just become a girl tradition!

We started with such pretty pumpkins.  It was almost a shame to paint them!

We have Harry Potter, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and a sprinkled donut.

Aren't they cute?  I just love them!  :)

{ More on the Race...}

We had a beautiful, HOT day for Race for the Cure.  We sold tons of hamburger and hotdog plates, plenty of candy and nachos along with all the race entrance fees, so I'm sure GMS raised lots of money for Breast Cancer research.  :)

Here are my girls in the hall before all the festivities got started.

The girls had a ball.  Sarah finished the 1.5 Mile run and Emma Taylor came in second in the Pink Out Contest.  They loved the day!

Pinkest of the Pink

 Bull riding!

The girls said the mechanical bull wasn't as easy as it looked.  It sure was fun to try though.  They thoroughly enjoyed their first Race for the Cure at GMS!

{ Race for the Cure }

The girls had Race for the Cure at the middle school today.  They had a "pink out" and participated in the race to raise money for Breast Cancer research.  They loved being decked out in pink today!

Lots of pink....even tattoos and face paint.  I'm heading out to work at the concession stand and join the fun for a wonderful cause.

Happy Friday, everyone!
