100th Day of School

Emma Taylor and Sarah celebrated the 100th Day of School in style!

The students were asked to wear 100 of something on their clothes for the celebration.  These girls chose a little bling, so we attached 100 rhinestones to their shirts.  They loved it!

The girls did fun activities and ate yummy snacks all centered around the number 100.  What a fun day in the life of these first graders!

Happy Birthday, Harrison!

It's so hard for me to believe that Harrison turned 4 years old today!  Makes me sad!  There wasn't anything sad about Harrison's day though...he partied the whole way through!

We started with a little party for his friends at school.  We brought yummy frog cookies to share with the class.  Good stuff!

They had a small group at school today!

We had Harrison's birthday dinner with the family at Pizza Hut.  We stuffed ourselves with pizza and then topped it off with an ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins.

I bet his wish came true!

Granna, Memaw and all the Grands

Happy Birthday, Harrison!  We love you!

Emma Taylor's Toothless Grin

Emma Taylor lost her first tooth yesterday!  She already had one popping up behind it, so she probably won't have a space there for long.  She was excited when she woke up this morning.  The Tooth Fairy left a surprise for her....a new bottle cap for her bottle cap necklace!  FUN!

Can't forget to say Happy Birthday to Harrison!  It's hard to believe my baby is 4 today.  I'll post pictures from his party tonight.

Birthday Girl!

Sarah turned 7 on Thursday and we partied with her today.  We ate cake, opened presents and even made lovely mosaic crowns fit for a princess!

Snow Day!

We were excited to wake up this morning and discover that we didn't have school today!  We didn't have any snow yet, but the roads were supposed to be icy.  By 10am we had a nice covering of snow on the patio and the kids had a blast playing in it!

brrrr.....it's cold!

catching snowflakes on her tongue!

Emma Taylor's Honey Bunny Special

If anyone's looking for a great way to add a little more sweetness to their plain old honey bun, then listen up!  Emma Taylor came up with this recipe on the way home from the grocery store today and couldn't wait to get home and try it out.

Emma Taylor's Honey Bunny Special
1 honey bun
Reese's Pieces - as many as you want (our chef thinks M&M's would be a good substitute too!)

Place honey bun on a pretty plate and press as many Reese's Pieces as you'd like right on top.  The gooey coating on the honey bun will keep the candy securely in place.  Eat and enjoy!

The finished product!

Emma Taylor says it tastes good too!

Glad this recipe's a success!  Try it yourself and let us know what you think!

Happy New Year!

It's so hard for me to believe it's 2010 already...it just sounds so odd!  I hope everyone has a happy, healthy 2010!

I haven't had much to report lately since all the kids have been away.  Emma Taylor and Harrison will be back tomorrow, but I'm not sure when we'll get to see Anna Grace and Sarah.  Anna Grace has come down with the chicken pox and from what we hear it sounds like a pretty bad case...bumps from her toes to her scalp.  Poor girl!  I remember having chicken pox at about her age and it was NO FUN!  Hopefully she'll will recover quickly and we'll all be back together again!

Love to all!
