{ Thankful Always }

Today is the day we set aside to be thankful, but I know we all should really be thankful each and every minute of every day.  We all have so much to be thankful for, don't we?

This month the kids and I have been mentioning one thing that we're thankful for on the way to school every day.  The kids love it and if I forget, they remind me!  Harrison usually says things like, "I'm thankful I got on green light!"  Honestly, if it means he's being good at school, I'm thankful for that too!  The girls, being older and wiser, seem to be more thoughtful in their thankfulness.  From them I hear a lot of thankfulness for our family, clothes, house, food and warm beds.  It's fun to see how their thankfulness changes as they become more aware of the world around them!  The older I get, the more thankful I am for family and good health...simple things that we take for granted!

I'm grateful that we have the freedom to spend our Thanksgiving doing whatever we want!  :)  Enjoy your day!

{ A New Niece and Cousin! }

Lee and I welcomed a niece, our very first niece, yesterday!  Isn't she precious?!  We sure think so!

After school we picked the kids up and let them see her.  They were so excited!

The hospital has new rules and wouldn't let them back to see her, so they are looking forward to holding her when she comes home from the hospital.

Lee and I were lucky enough to snuggle up with her for a few minutes today!

She is just perfect!  :)

Veteran's Day Concert

We are so thankful to our Veterans who provide the freedom we all enjoy!  We are also  thankful for the service men and women who are currently serving and their families too.

Anna Grace's choir put on a Veteran's Day concert on Monday.

They're a talented bunch!

Anna Grace loves singing and has a really pretty voice!  However, she is not thrilled with the "witch" dress she has to wear!  I laughed when she told me this, because I remember thinking the very same thing when I was in choir in high school.  Apparently it's necessary, even in 2012, for choir dresses to be "witchy!"  :)

Happy Veteran's Day!

{ School PIctures - 2012 }

Here are the school pictures for the year.  They've grown so much in a year!

Anna Grace - 7th grade
 Sarah - 4th grade
Emma Taylor - 4th grade
 Harrison - 1st grade

I think they all turned out well!  Such big kids now!  :)

{ Knox the bat! }

I don't think Knox was overly excited about Halloween.   He looked super cute in his bat costume though!

Look at that face!

This bat-puppy looks relaxed doesn't he?  He's got a rough life!  :)

{ The Day After... }

Do you remember doing this when you were a kid?

They're sorting and swapping candy!  I love that they do it too!

Do you see Knox hanging out?  He is SO hoping they'll drop something!  :)

I also love that they save an Almond Joy or two for me!  :)

{ Trick-or-treating }

We went to Granna and Papa D's house for our annual trick-or-treating hayride last night.  Ben loads the trailer with hay and pulls us around the neighborhood.  A great way to trick-or-treat!

Here's our crew all ready to go!

Harrison is a Saints football player (forgot the helmet for pics....boo!).
Sarah is a Drama Queen.
Anna Grace is an 80's girl.
Emma Taylor is Rocky from Disney's Shake It Up.

We ate lasagna and ziti for dinner then hit the streets!  I stole a few pics from Granna.

Sam the hunter, Cam the "Credible" Hulk and Josh the Scream guy [I think :)]
 Harrison and Cameron
 Girl Power!
The whole crew!  Our friends, Paslay and Quinn joined us this year.  Paz is on the back row, but Quinn decided to avoid the photo op.
After Trick-or-Treating, we headed back to Jay and Belle's for a bonfire.  A late night for these kids, but they sure had fun!
