{ It's Game Day! }

Harrison had his first baseball game of the season today.  The day was beautiful and warm, perfect for a morning at the ball fields!

His team did really well and won their first game.  Harrison had some really good hits today, so he was pretty proud of himself.  He loves this time of year!

Here he is in a different batting helmet for some reason.

Headed home!

Harrison and his friend, Clay Thomas, are finally on a team together.  Robin and I are thrilled that we get to see each other more often!  Yay!
 Sarah, Cameron and Emma Taylor had fun today too!

What a great day to spend a Saturday morning.  I love baseball season!

{ Art Exhibit }

My 5th graders had art on display at the art museum in Tupelo this week.  Their awesome art teacher, Cindy Parker, does such fun and creative things with the kids and chooses some of her favorite work to be displayed in the art gallery every year.  We stopped by the reception on Tuesday night to see their pieces.

Sarah had a landscape and a tiger in the exhibit.

Emma Taylor had a landscape displayed.

Love my creative girls!

{ Happy Easter Day! }

Lee, Anna Grace, Sarah and I headed to Ann's to meet the family for Easter lunch.  We grilled burgers and then headed out to hunt eggs.  The little ones had a ball hunting eggs and eating the candy!

Just before lunch, the ice cream truck came through the neighborhood.  Anna Grace and Sarah had never been to the ice cream truck before, so they had ice cream as their appetizer!  Actually lots of us did!  :)

We celebrated on this gorgeous Easter day.  The kids got more treats than they needed from Memaw and Uncle John, but they will certainly enjoy them.  We are so very grateful for time with our family and most importantly for our Risen Savior!

{ Dying Easter Eggs + Treats from Granna }

The kids still love dying Easter eggs.  Such a fun tradition!

Granna stopped by to see the kids and drop off their Easter treats.  I love this M&M poem and the kids appreciated their money.

Here's Granna with the kiddos.

{ Measurement Project }

Harrison is learning about measurement this week.  We've measured things all over this house!

He was also assigned a measurement project.  He had to measure five people (or pets) and present his project to the class.  He chose to put me, Lee, Emma Taylor and Knox on the poster along with him!

He had to include a picture and our height in feet and inches and then our height just in inches.

 I love his concentration face.

This was a super quick project, which is just how I like it!

{Painting Easter Eggs}

This year we decided to paint some eggs at Wet Paint.  I hope to make this a tradition so I'll have a collection of eggs that the kids have painted to display every Easter.

 We enjoyed creating this afternoon!

And here are the finished eggs.  Love them!

{ Cheers to 40 Years! }

Lee turned 40 on March 31st, so we celebrated him with a cookout at our house last night.  He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family!

Lee doesn't particularly like birthday cake, so his mom made his favorite dessert, a 4 layer chocolate dessert.  She and my mom helped with lots of the food, which made things much easier for me.  Thanks, y'all!  :)

We were too busy having fun to take many pictures, but we definitely had a great time celebrating!

Lee, I hope you loved your birthday party.  I'm excited to see what fun things will happen in the next 40+ years.  The kids and I all love you lots!
