{ no training wheels! }

Lee and I have been encouraging Harrison to learn to ride his bike without training wheels for quite awhile. He wanted nothing to do with it and spent all his time outside riding his scooter.  Finally on Sunday, Harrison and Sarah were outside and she talked him into trying.  Yay!

Instagram captured the first picture.
Then I went inside and got my real camera!

He basically just hopped on and took off.  Now he's riding all over the place!  So proud!

{ soaking Sunday afternoon }

The kids were getting a little stir crazy on Sunday afternoon, so we decided to take a quick trip to the splash pad.  It may be the last time we make it over there this season, but the kids definitely made the most of it.  I know it won't be long until they think they're too big!  Boo!

 Everyone's armed and ready to shoot!
 The girls posed for me!
 Anna Grace in the "shower!"
 Harrison's faux hawk!
 Silly girl
 Sarah trying to defend herself!
 Cooling off with a snow cone!  The girls and I opted for milkshakes at Dairy Kream.  YUM!
 The girls were like little monkeys crossing the bars.  They had a ball!
We had a great time at the splash pad.  We're trying to soak up every bit of summer that we can!

{ and 7th grade isn't so bad either! }

Anna Grace is loving school so far.  I think she's really liking the fact that she isn't the youngest group at her school anymore.  She said she even helped a 6th grader find her class on the first day of school!

Clothes from Delia's and Vans shoes are what the 7th graders in Saltillo are wearing this year.  Doesn't she look growny?  :)

{ 4th grade is FUN! }

Sarah has survived the first week of 4th grade and is loving every minute of it.  Here she is before school this morning!

Poor girl had a scooter accident and skinned up her knees and nose a few evenings ago.  I know it hurts, but she's been a real trooper!

{ back in class }

I absolutely cannot believe the kids started back to school today.  I know I say that every year, but this summer flew by even faster than before.

Fresh Back to School pedi!

Harrison has Michelle Richardson for his first grade teacher.  Her daughter, Addi, is a friend of Emma Taylor's, so we already know Michelle. We're so happy she's Harrison's teacher this year!
The Turtle Class!

Emma Taylor and Sarah have Mrs. Richey and Mrs. Washington this year and they both seem really sweet too!  Mrs Richey teaches math, science and social studies and Mrs. Washington teaches reading and language arts.  We are so excited that the girls are with team teachers.  They alternate between these two teachers throughout the day which means all of the tests and homework will be the same.  Hooray!

Emma Taylor and Harrison were all smiles when I picked them up today.  They both had a fun day.  Harrison said, "I have 4 new friends!"

Sarah and Anna Grace both said they had a good first day too.  They'll be back tomorrow, so we'll be able to catch up with them and hear all about their first two days of school.  :)
