thankful

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving!  We all have so much to be thankful for, especially our families!

We started out with a delicious lunch at Aunt Faye's house.  Jerry always fries the turkey, which is fabulous, and we have all the traditional stuff to go with it!  We all have our favorites....Lee sticks with the turkey, I love the dressing and Sarah could make it on cranberry sauce alone!   Here are a few pics of the family.

 Brantley and Candace

 Princess Makenzie
We didn't end up with pictures of everyone, but the whole family was there, so it was a wonderful day.

We finished off Thanksgiving with a trip to Aunt Karen's house.  It was great to see everyone over there too.  I didn't snap a picture, but we did plenty of eating and laughing!

I am so very thankful for two wonderful families!

skating?

Emma Taylor liked how the giant puzzle pieces slid on the hardwood, so she decided to strap on some "skates!"
Puzzle pieces and a little ribbon....who knew!

trimming the tree

We always look forward to decorating the tree together.  The kids get a new Hallmark ornament every year and are always excited to see them!

Anna Grace's series is called Season's Treatings, which features cute Christmas treats every year.
Sarah's series is called Noel Nutcrackers, which is obviously cute Nutcrackers.   This year it's a penguin!
Hers retires this year, so we'll be looking for something new for her next year.

Emma Taylor's is called Noelville, which is a series of adorable gingerbread houses.
Harrison used to get Thomas the Train, but that retired last year and I wasn't able to find anything new and boyish that started this year.  Instead we didn't go with a series, but got him a cool Lightening McQueen and Mater ornament.  He loves it!
Happy decorating, everyone!

fun in a box

Thanksgiving Feast

Today Emma Taylor's class had a Thanksgiving Feast at school and I was lucky enough to get away from work to have lunch with my girl.  We had lots of delicious food...dressing was fabulous!  Her class was in charge of bringing desserts, so we brought some yummy turkey cupcakes!

She's lucky to be in a class full of sweet kids.  Here's Lily Cate, Emma Taylor and Ali Grace.

I love bulletin boards.  I wouldn't be a very good teacher, but I'd sure love decorating the bulletin board!

The day was definitely full of sweetness!

....saturday....

The kids had fun with a painting project this afternoon.  The girls painted trinket boxes and Harrison painted a train.  Such talented artists!

I'll post pics of the final results when they dry.
