Anna Grace went to her very first school dance on Friday night!  Goodness, she's growing up.  Here she is all ready to go!

She said the dance was lots of fun!  She said she and her friends all danced together and stayed away from the boys - smart girls!  :)

Anna Grace decided to join the 6th grade band this year.  She tried all of the instruments and the evaluation showed that she was best suited to play the flute! 

She just got her instrument, so she's eager to get started learning.   I bet she'll do a better job than I did when I "played" the flute in 6th grade. I don't think I ever made any pretty sounds, just went through the motions so I could be in the band since it was the cool thing to do.  Ha!

Harrison was so excited to finally have a school project to complete at home.  He's been watching the girls do homework and projects for years, so he was glad it was finally his turn!

Harrison had to create a circle map about himself, so we printed pictures (and he drew some himself) to tell the class about his family and some of the things he likes.  He glued all the pictures on himself and even wrote a lot of the words. 

He did a great job and was super proud of himself!
