{ Lately }

We've had a few days of glorious weather followed by the same old cold weather.  SO ready for spring to get here for good.  Here are some recent iPhone pics!

Anna Grace started wearing contacts several weeks ago and says this is her first "official" no glasses pic!  Even though it was taken awhile back, I just love it and wanted to include it since I'm adding pics from my phone.

Ben took these two mud riding on his Razor.  They had a big time!
Someone picked out a new sea lion at the zoo...
 and then hatched out of an egg!
Sarah was pumped about her Tram Stamp...
and Cam and Harrison are busy taking a selfie!
 Emma Taylor is busy making cupcakes for her doll's birthday.
 The boys doing some fancy dribbling.
 Lazy Spring Break day!
 One of AG's selfies - Pretty blue eyes.
Anna Grace and her best friend, Lilli.  They LOVE some selfies!
St. Patty's Day toes!
My two little leprechauns.  No pinches for these kids.
The kids headed back to school today after a nice week off for Spring Break.  It was rough getting up early again this morning, but we sure are enjoying the longer daylight in the evenings.  Bring on SPRING!

{ Harrison's 1st Turkey Hunt }

Lee decided it was finally time for Harrison to go on his first turkey hunt.  He's not ready to shoot yet, but he wanted Harrison to learn to listen for the gobblers and see how hunting is done.  They got out of bed before 5am, joined Kirk and his boys, Mitchell and Michael, and headed out towards Ripley, MS.

 This sleepyhead is ready to go!

Here are the boys before they headed into the woods.
Lee and Harrison got situated in the woods and put on their masks.
Harrison told Lee, "I don't think the turkeys are coming," and promptly went to sleep!
 Here's Lee's view of the top of Harrison's head.
They didn't get a turkey today, but Lee was happy he got to hear the turkey gobble.  Lee is a great turkey caller and can easily get the turkeys to respond.  Harrison loved it and says he definitely wants to go again.

{ Memphis Zoo }

The kids are out of school this week for Spring Break, so we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take the kids to the zoo.  Anna Grace thinks she's too old for the zoo [or maybe just too cool to go with us! :)], but the younger ones (and Granna and I) had a ball!

We started by hopping on a tram to head to the back of the park.
First stop, Teton Trek where we saw the grizzly bears.

 Such fun backgrounds for taking pictures!

The girls love hopping in the boat.
 The kids are looking for the sea lions.

 My favorite posers

 Hot dogs and BBQ nachos for lunch.
Stopping for a picture in China on our way to see the Panda Bears.
 Elephants
 Crazy animals!
 The kids always love to check out the aquarium.
We ran into my old friend, Heather Wolfe, while we were at the zoo, so she snapped this picture for me.  We also had a quick picture taken outside.  Please ignore the hair!
Here's Harrison checking out the penguins.  They're usually my favorite, but they didn't do much but swim around today.
 Cameron was not content until he saw the animals of the night.  Fun times looking at bats.
 Spider monkeys came right up to the window while we were eating our ice cream.  Cam loved it!
 We loved seeing the new baby giraffe.  So cute!
 These sweet kids had a great time today.

We stopped by the gift shop one last time and headed back to MS.  We enjoyed our gorgeous day at the zoo.  Thanks, Granna!

{ Second Grade Program }

Our favorite second grader had his musical program tonight.  He was less than thrilled, but I think he ended up having fun.  He is so different from his sisters who LOVE being on stage.  I asked him about it a few weeks ago and he wouldn't give me any details.  He said he wanted it to be a surprise, but I think he just didn't want to talk about it.  Again, so different from the girls!

He would get tickled when he caught us looking at him before the program started.

The kids worked some dances based on colors and moods into the program.  Harrison's color was green.  As you can imagine, he especially loved the dancing part (except not!).  He basically just walked around waving the green flag.  :)

 The grand finale!
 Here's the family with our performer.

Harrison was also named a Terrific Tiger by his Tiger Time (reading) teacher this month.  He thought it was extra special to have his picture up on the wall in the main hallway.  I'm not exactly sure what you have to do to be a TT, but Harrison just thinks you have to "be awesome!"  Ha!

Super proud of our boy!

{ Cheering Again! }

Sarah's squad cheered in another competition this weekend in Jackson.  She had a ball as always and her squad did really well!

Here are a couple of her biggest fans!

Sarah has another competition at the end of March and then the last one is at the beach in April.  She's learned so many new things this year and has such a great time!  It's also tons of fun for us to watch.  Go Sarah!
